After 22 long months of hearing prospective suitors for the presidency make their cases, the lady America has opted for Barack Obama – practically an amalgamation of the multiplicity of the nation – as her best choice to lead her family for the next four years.

I called my son, OlaOluwa, whose 20th birthday it was on November 4 to congratulate him again on the double joy. I pointed out to my son the significance of the moment and encouraged him to take on the future with the confidence of the immense possibilities that this great country offers.

Challenge

In the weird practice of the American society, Mr. President is acknowledged as a black man in spite of the fact that he is of both white and black parentage; of little relevance now.
